The Stuttgart StoryEarly beginningsIn 1955, a visit by youth leaders from Stuttgart marked the start of a series of exchanges which now underpin our successful relationship. Starting as a British Foreign Office initiative, it has now become a living relationship involving people from business, security, education and the creative industries. Cathays Brass is proud to play a positive role in encouraging musical collaboration between our two cities and specifically through working with Musikverein Stuttgart-Hofen.

“As cities continue to evolve it is also important that we reach out to the world to understand how best to react to change. Successful cities are those that embrace the opportunities afforded by working globally – and this isn’t just about business, it is also about culture and opportunities for learning.” Cllr Phil Bale on the Stuttgart – Cardiff relationship. (Leader, City of Cardiff Council during the 60th anniversary celebrations)
